The project transformed the laboratory into a modern, efficient, and HTM/HBN-compliant workspace, enhancing workflow, safety, and infection control for clinical diagnostics.

Heating & Cooling Systems: Installation of advanced air conditioning systems to maintain precise temperature control, supporting specimen integrity and optimal laboratory conditions.
Electrical Upgrades: Comprehensive upgrade to 3-phase power distribution, ensuring reliable energy supply for sophisticated diagnostic equipment.
LED Lighting: Full LED lighting scheme installed to improve visibility, reduce eye strain, and lower energy consumption.
Suspended Ceilings & Stud Walls: New ceilings and partitions optimised space, improved acoustics, and facilitated integration of essential services.
Bespoke Laboratory Benching & Storage: Custom Trespa benching and under-counter storage installed to enhance hygiene, workflow efficiency, and organisation.
Fire Safety: All doors and frames replaced with 30-minute fire-rated units, reinforcing laboratory safety standards.
Laboratory Flooring: Durable, chemical-resistant vinyl flooring installed for high-traffic and easy maintenance.
Plumbing & Drainage: Specialist systems designed to meet the requirements of pathology analyzers, minimising contamination risk.
HTM-Compliant IPS Wash Stations: Strategically positioned IPS wash stations promote infection control and full regulatory compliance.
OUTCOME
The refurbished laboratory now delivers a modern, safe, and highly efficient workspace. Bespoke benching and storage solutions have optimised workflow, while HTM-compliant IPS wash stations and upgraded infrastructure ensure robust infection control. LED lighting, climate control, and resilient flooring enhance staff comfort and productivity.
