Under the expert leadership of Project Manager Alan Byrne, the Pathology Laboratory at Edinburgh Western General Hospital underwent a full interior refurbishment. Suspended Ceilings & Stud Walls – Installed to optimise space, improve acoustics, and integrate essential utilities, delivering a functional, ergonomic layout.
Bespoke Laboratory Benching – Supplied and fitted custom Trespa benching with under-counter storage to enhance workflow efficiency, organisation, and hygiene.
30-Minute Fire Doors & Frames – Upgraded all doors to fire-rated specifications, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Laboratory-Grade Vinyl Flooring – Installed resilient, slip-resistant flooring designed to withstand chemical exposure and heavy foot traffic, facilitating safe, easy maintenance.
Plumbing & Drainage Systems – Engineered to meet the specific requirements of pathology analysers, supporting efficient waste management and infection control.
HTM-Compliant IPS Wash Stations – Integrated at strategic points to promote hygiene and compliance with regulatory standards.
